What is the Path

Lecture 204 explains what the Pathwork is (and what it is not).

You have 3 different options to acquaint yourself with this lecture:

1. Listening to the original AUDIO recording of Eva Pierrakos‘ own voice(a), as she delivered this lecture to a group of early Pathworkers. (You can get the complete recordings of Eva Pierrakos by visiting the International Pathwork Foundation web site and e-store)

2. Listening to an AUDIO recording of the 1996 edition(b) of lecture #204, read by Gary Vollbracht. Click on the triangle below to start playing this contemporaneous AUDIO recording (You can get recordings of Gary Vollbracht’s reading of the Pathwork Lectures by visiting the International Pathwork Foundation web site and e-store)

3. Reading the edited version of Lecture 204, which corresponds to the  Gary Vollbracht’s reading of that lecture (1996 edited version(b))

Notes:

(a) The original recordings of Eva Pierrakos’ presentations of the lectures were made on the spot, using simple equipment in an acoustically unfavorable environment. This original sound track therefore has some undesirable background noises and acoustic reverberation.

(b) Eva Pierrakos had German as her native language. Her speech while channeling the Pathwork Guide reflected her foreign origin. Eva’s sentences sometimes deviate from the most usual form of expression for native speakers of English. Furthermore, being a live presentation, the speech sometimes has long sentences, occasionally with repeated use of a same word. This made the reading of the lecture transcripts less fluent that an edited version could provide. For the above reasons, the original transcripts of the lectures were edited in 1996 by Judith and John Saly, both senior Pathworkers from the early days of the Pathwork. The resulting set of lecture texts became known as the 1996 Edition of the Pathwork Lectures.
