Questions for reflection about the God Image

<- To Work Program

Please, reflect on the following questions. Take some time to meditate with the intention of seeing with clarity what is true for you regarding these issues.

♦ When you pray for God’s help to overcome a hardship in your life, how do you expect this help to reach you?

♦ When you ask for divine help, do you keep striving to find your own solution? Or do you wait for clear signals of guidance before taking further action on the matter?

♦ Do you recall having asked for divine help and then being doubtful as to whether that help was being offered in such a subtle way that you might not be noticing it?

♦ What does the statement “God is inside you” mean to you?

♦ When you feel that your behavior is not in agreement with a divine principle, do you believe that you will have to face some form of punishment by God?

♦ Conversely, if you always act in agreement with divine principles, do you believe that God will grant you a happier life?

♦ Do you feel that your intellectual understanding of a seemingly right moral principle differs from your emotional perception of the same subject? When that happens, which way do you feel more inclined to follow, that of your intellect or that of your emotions?

♦ What is God for you? How does your intellectual notion of God differ from, or is similar to, your emotional perception of God?

♦ How do you see the concept that you are the master of your own fate?

♦ If you are the creator of your own life, what point is there in praying and asking for Divine help?
