Consider one image that applies to you, as identified in previous exercises. Meditate on how this image may have conditioned and restricted your behavior in different moments of your life and how much hindrance this may have caused to your relations, be it in your professional, social, or love relationships.
For example, an image that says: “If I disagree with others, they will find me harsh and will tend to reject me.” It could stem from adverse circumstances in one’s early childhood, when the child was often criticized or punished by parents and/or other figures of authority, whenever it would disobey or disagree with guidance from such persons. Such an image could be emphasized in kindergarten years, depending on the interactions with other children.
Examine how this image (or another, of your choice) has affected your life, limiting your freedom, causing suffering and restricting your ability to successfully relate to other people and walk your paths in life.
What have you found out about your images?
♦ Did you find any images that you have been hosting so far?
♦ Did you realize how those images have been impairing your freedom and happiness in walking your ways in life?
♦ Did you realize that behaving in accordance to an image typically leads to the very opposite results to those that the faulty logic behind the image was trying to reach?
