Exercise 11: The Evolutionary Process

<- To Work Program

Lecture #218 (The Evolutionary Process) points to the importance of becoming aware of our individual evolutionary process and its relation to the outer events in our life and to our inner issues (faults, shortcomings, impurities, conflicts, difficulties). It also emphasizes the need to acknowledge the interconnections among our inner issues themselves. As examples of the latter, it mentions possible connections between:

♦ a difficulty in establishing fulfilling relationships and a blockage in your career;

♦ a greedy and pushy attitude and, say, sexual dissatisfaction;

♦ submissiveness, lack of self-assertion, on the one hand, and covert hostility on the other.

Examine how the above matters relate to your individual life and personality.

Consider the main issues that you feel you have to transform in yourself (your faults and negativity). How do you think these issues may be interconnected and how could they be related to the events in your life?
